“ My Bulgarian friend takes us here - super authentic, good portion and fairly priced. There are dishes that I never tried before on the menu, hard to find elsewhere otherwise. Taste was good - my favourite is beef tongue. ”
“ Massive portions of great food I opted for a few starter/side dishes but ended up with a lot more food then I anticipated. Loads of chicken strips which were beautifully crisp and came with a big pot of garlic sauce. The sweet potato fries filled a main sized plate. They were fresh, delicious and high quality. The chicken & avocado salad was by far the most calorific salad I've ever eaten. It was covered with a huge amount of parmesan as well as plenty more of that garlic sauce. It was all too enjoyable to waste. Although the fact I'd been drinking vodka all day increased my desire to clear it all! The service was great but the music got unnecessarily loud. Plenty of options on the menu and clearly a popular place. ”
“ The food here is really delicious. The beef tongue is tender and flavorful, and the salad is fantastic. There's also a female server who is really nice. Overall, it was an amazing experience. ”
“ After being completely ignored at a large Westfield eatery, we came here. Immediately seated and asked if we wanted drinks. Interesting menu (Bulgarian food). We went for the mixed grill. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Nicely grilled meats, full of flavour. Tasty chips. Great value as well when compared to some of the prices we had seen for similar food. Toilets were very clean as well. Recommended. ”
“ My first visit to this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was good and fast. We didn’t wait at all to be seated even though restaurant was quite full. We ordered shopska salad, garlic parlenka, musaka and pork shin, everything was tasty. For dessert we ordered French country style cake this was nothing to do with the original and was not tasty, completely something else I left it. Athmosphere is good and restaurant has 2nd floor which is very nice and traditional. There are parties at weekends evenings. Please is also reasonable priced. ”
“ I don't give 5 stars lightly, but my experience at Rodina was 5 star worthy. It's a family style Bulgarian cafe/restaurant full of flavour heartly dishes and so affordable. The tripe soup and chicken hearts as starters are both spot on. The main dish of sharing platter has tender and perfectly grilled cuts of pork, lamb, and chicken on top of fried potatoes. All cuts of meat are tender, juicy and with perfect crisp outside. The potatoes soak the juices of grilled meat and taste mouthwatering. The platter comes with crispy but fluffy garlic bread and salad with grated Bulgarian cheese on top, which resembles feta and compliments the salad very well. If u are a smoker, you are welcome to sit outside and smoke while enjoying flavourful dishes. There are so many other dishes I want to try here, so will definitely be visiting again. ”
“ Honestly was not expecting this to be so good. The food is affordable, large portions, and good quality. I haven't tried Bulgarian food before but the menu was so varied and delicious. Good choice for vegetarians. Very busy but not too loud. A covered smoking area at the front of the restaurant. Cosy atmosphere. ”
“ We went with small plates and salad! Amazing garlic bread! Typical Bulgarian restaurant, the food is nice and the prices are reasonable. I can only recommend! ”
